Science

Science

Every student will study all aspects of Science through Years 7 to 11, with the opportunity to progress onto A2 Level courses in Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology. Our aim is to provide every student with a set of skills and a body of scientific knowledge and concepts to equip them for future life. We also encourage the follow-on into science-based careers as well as Further and Higher Education.

At Key Stage 4 we follow the Gateway Science (A) suite of GCSEs (OCR syllabus). Some students will achieve a Combined Science GCSE (gaining a double grade worth 2 GCSEs).  There is also scope for more able, interested students to study Biology, Chemistry and Physics as separate subjects at GCSE, leading to three separate GCSE qualifications.

If you have any questions about our curriculum please contact us via the main office or use our Enquiry Form.
